On Monday, Fox News host Shepard Smith swung at president Trump’s anthem protest comments, noting these were in no way related to the anthem and exclaimed Trump found it easy to feed his party and supporters with such claims because it goes to his best advantage to do so.
“It’s very clear that for his base, this is the red meat of all red meat,” Smith said. “Because they’re able to reframe this. They’re able to say, ‘Oh, they’re attacking the national anthem, they’re attacking the troops, they’re attacking the flag.’”
“None of which they’re doing,” he elaborated. “They’re not doing any of that. They’re upset about racial injustice in the country and they’re upset about the things that the president has said, and yet he’s able to turn it around for his base.”
Shep continued bashing Trump, noting the President found the anthem convenient to focus on and steer people away from the “struggling health care legislation and North Korea’s ongoing aggression.”

Conservatives jumped up in disagreement, noting the minorities were mostly affected by the mess.
“You have the right to protest Trump tmrw. But aren’t there better ways than kneeling before the flag soldiers died to defend?” Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., tweeted.

Brandon Morse, who is a conservative contributor, followed other conservatives’ narrative and condemned the way this issue was handled.
“If players wish to engage in activism off the field, then that’s great. They can use their platform to voice whatever opinion they wish. But when we’re there to watch football, hear about football, and talk about football, the last thing we want to hear are your opinions on why you think the police are racist,” he wrote.
The entire discussion erupted after President Donald Trump made comments about the protesters during a rally Friday of Alabama Senate candidate Luther Strange.
“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects the flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a b—- off the field right now. Out. He’s fired. He’s fired!’” Trump said.
The media, players, and remaining liberals were not having any of this, so they began another hate parade against the POTUS, encouraging the protest at the same time.
The Remington Research Group issued a poll regarding Trump’s comments, which found that 64 percent of all Americans are certain “NFL players should stand and be respectful during the national anthem.”
It would be odd if the liberals agreed with the poll, but, hey, truth hurts.
