When it comes to making your choice in preferred fake news stations, you have a lot of options: The Washington Post, The New York Times, and CNN are some of the biggest (and most prestigious) names in fake news out there.
But if you want quality, entertaining fake news that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat wondering, “I wonder what they’ll say next?” you have a strong candidate in MSNBC.
MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle managed to embarrass even the notoriously liberal network by giving a spirited — and completely incorrect — defense of Planned Parenthood.
Ruhle was speaking with Florida Rep. Francis Rooney on Friday during a segment of “Velshi & Ruhle” when the representative said that Planned Parenthood had decreased its non-abortion activities — which is, by the way, in keeping with Planned Parenthood’s own statistics.
But even facts from the left don’t matter to the left, not really.
In response to Rooney’s claim, Ruhle shot back: “I don’t know where you read that but I don’t believe that’s true based on our reporting and what we cover,” which means absolutely nothing.
Essentially what she just said was “according to us, you’re wrong,” which is not the best bit of rhetoric out there.
She goes on.
“It’s actually somewhat stagnant with what they do in terms of abortion, but they’ve seen huge increases in breast cancer screenings, cervical cancer screenings, and actually the amount of men that are going to Planned Parenthood to get screenings,” she said.
Let’s look at some actual facts, shall we?
That’s not “stagnant.” It’s an increase. And considering it’s a question of human life, it’s an outrage.
Furthermore, their other forms of care aren’t even growing — by Planned Parenthood’s own admission. The services performed marked “Breast Exams/ Breast Care” in 2014-2015 was 363,803. The 2015-2016 report just labeled the category “Breast Exams” and it was far lower — 321,700.
Maybe they changed their organizational structure some, but that doesn’t look like improvement to me.
Additionally, there were more than 2,000 fewer colonoscopy procedures in the 2015-2016 report as there were in the 2014-2015 report.
From these findings, two things are easy to see.
1. MSNBC host Sarah Ruhle has no idea what she’s talking about.
2. Planned Parenthood needs to go.
