Beards have been quite the trend in recent years, and nobody exemplified the bearded look better than the guys from A&E’s hit TV series “Duck Dynasty.”

However, according to the Independent Journal Review, one of the guys from the Robertson family, Duck Commander COO Jase Robertson, just decided to forgo the beard and adopt a clean-shaven look, though it wasn’t merely for a change of appearance or business-related, but in honor of something much bigger.

Jase shaved his beard in honor of his daughter’s charity, Mia Moo, which raises funds and awareness to help children and their families deal with cleft lips and palates.

With a goal of $100,000 in additional raised funds nearly achieved, Jase decided to go ahead and shave off the beard on Monday, and the process was streamed on Facebook Live.

As can be seen, Robertson looks quite a bit different without the distinctive beard he and his family have become known for sporting.

“I guess you could say I’m a little happy. #ShaveJase #MyMan,” wife Missy posted separately to Facebook.

Given the fact that the video has been viewed more than 7 million times, odds are Jase and his family will achieve their goal of increasing awareness about Mia’s charity and surpass the goal of raising $100,000 toward helping children who suffer from this disfigurement.

It remained unclear at this time if Jase would stick with the clean-shaven look going forward, or if he would immediately set about regrowing the seemingly trademark Duck Dynasty beard.
