President Donald Trump appeared to have made quite an impression on Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi during Trump’s first foreign trip. During a Sunday meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Sisi commented on Trump’s unique personality.
“Mr. President, let me express our appreciation and respect,” Sisi said through a translator. “Let me say that you have a unique personality that is capable of doing the impossible.”
“That’s very interesting … I agree,” Trump replied with a laugh.
“I will get to Egypt. We will absolutely be putting that on the list very soon,” Trump said, adding that Sisi has “done a tremendous job under trying circumstance.” Take a look:
Trump was greeted in Saudi Arabia with an elaborate ceremony that included a military flyover.
He also had a warm welcome with Saudi King Salman, shaking hands as they met.
That was a far cry from what happened when former President Barack Obama met then-King Abdullah. In 2009 at a G-20 summit in London, Obama appeared to bow to then-King Abdullah. What a disgrace.
The fact that Sisi not only appeared to like Trump but went as far as to say he could accomplish the impossible must infuriate Democrats and Obama in particular, who tried his best to gain favor from foreign nations by apologizing for America at every opportunity.
In 2009 alone, Obama apologized ten times at home and abroad for what he apparently viewed as America’s failings.
It’s good to see Trump bringing back pride to our country and the White House. Throughout his campaign, Trump did things his way and that worked out well for him. It looks like the same attitude is working so far overseas.
