While President Donald Trump was traveling in the Middle East, a small sinkhole opened up directly in front of his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida on Monday.
The Town of Palm Beach shared the news on its Twitter account, warning the public of the sinkhole’s location and size.

As utility crews got to the scene, a lane of traffic had to be closed, causing delays in the area.
It was also reported that exploratory excavation near the sinkhole is likely to occur throughout the day.
Responding to the incident, Twitter users were quick to use the sinkhole for comedic comparisons — with some people linking it to the glowing orb Trump touched in Saudi Arabia.

Trump is currently on the second leg of his first foreign trip as president. He landed in Israel on Monday, where he will attempt to broker “a bigger and better deal” between the Israelis and the Palestinians.
After Israel, Trump will go on to Brussels to meet with the prime minister, and then to Sicily to participate in the annual G7 summit meetings.
The president spent this past weekend in Saudi Arabia meeting with Muslim leaders from across the globe.
