Sickening New Protest Move Hits NFL Now Its Happening on the Field

Following former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s controversial decision to sit down during the playing of the national anthem at games in protest of racism in the U.S., other athletes have taken that protest one step further and recently made a move that was truly sickening.

Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett, who had joined Kaepernick’s national anthem protest, gave a Black Power salute during a recent matchup against the San Francisco 49ers, according to Independent Journal Review.

During the second quarter of the game, Bennett sacked white 49ers quarterback, Brian Hoyer — who took over the position after Kaepernick left — and celebrated by raising his right fist in the air.

We’re not the only ones who perceived his actions as being pro-Black Power, as All Black Media confirmed the move in a tweet.

Bennett recently reported that he was the victim of racial profiling by Las Vegas police, alleging that the officers held him to the ground and put a gun to his head, threatening to “blow (his) f*****g head off,” according to New York Daily News.

However, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Undersheriff Kevin McMahill remembered the incident a little differently, saying that officers were searching for a possible active shooter at the Cromwell casino when they located Bennett crouched down behind a gaming machine.

“Once Bennett was in the officer’s view, he quickly ran out the south door, jumped over a wall onto Flamingo Road East of Las Vegas Boulevard into traffic,” McMahill explained, according to CBS Sports.

The NFL player was handcuffed not because he was black, but because his actions in running from the police during an active shooter situation were understandably perceived as suspicious.

Even if Bennett had been racially profiled by the police officers, there are appropriate methods for justice that do not include encouraging violence — which is exactly what the “Black Power” movement was based on through the Black Panther Party.

Anyone — black or white — who promotes one race having “power” over another, particularly through violent measures, is a disgrace to this country and everything it stands for.
