Revealed Sick Nickname NYC Mayors Office Has for Grieving Cops

The longer New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio remains in office, the more his callous disregard for the thin blue line that preserves order in his city shows, and police officers are not failing to notice.

At Tuesday’s funeral in the Bronx for assassinated police Officer Miosotis Familia, who was slain in her car on July 5, hundreds of police officers turned their back to de Blasio as he delivered his eulogy, the New York Daily News reports.

The mayor’s reaction to the protest was to assign a bizarre nickname for the protesting cops and grossly underestimate their numbers.

While thousands turned out to honor the officer — who was promoted to detective posthumously — a mayoral spokesman referred to the protesting group as “a couple dozen people” out to create a “bogus controversy,” according to the New York Daily News.

“A couple dozen people showed up to partake in a bogus controversy ginned up by the media and those looking to politicize Detective Familia’s death,” spokesman Austin Finan reportedly stated.

According to the New York Post, that is patently false.
