It doesn’t look like comedian Kathy Griffin is out of the woods yet for her disgusting stunt in May involving a fake severed head that resembled President Donald Trump.
The New York Times reported that a lawyer for Griffin confirmed the Secret Service is investigating the comedienne for her actions.
“We’re going to fully cooperate with the Secret Service in their investigation,” Dmitry Gorin, a criminal lawyer for Griffin, said according to The Times.
Griffin was interviewed by federal agents for more than an hour according to reporter Yashar Ali. The investigation has reportedly remained open.

Speaking at a news conference with Griffin, Gorin argued that the investigation should never have begun.
“She basically exercised her First Amendment rights to tell a joke,” he said. “When you look at everything in the media, all the times entertainers make videos or express themselves in other ways, you’ve never seen an entertainer, let alone a comedian, be subject to a criminal investigation.”
That’s not completely true, The Times reported. In 2012, the Secret Service confronted rocker Ted Nugent after he said, “We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November,” referencing the Obama administration.
All threats against the president are investigated, and Griffin is foolish if she thinks she can use her celebrity status as a license to say and do anything she pleases.
In her staged apology, she claimed that Trump and his family “broke” her and ruined her career by directing threats against her.
No, she did that to herself. But as many liberals do, she’s blaming someone else for her own actions that brought her downfall.
She wanted attention and she got it — maybe a little more than she was hoping for.
