Pro-ISIS Hackers Post ISIS Propaganda on Ohio Govt Computers

A team of pro-Islamic State group activists recently attacked the United States by hacking into the websites belonging to local and state governments.

Messages displayed on the Brookhaven, New York webpage, as well as several Ohio state government websites, broadcasted ISIS propaganda on Sunday morning, according to the New York Post.

The vandalized pages featured a banner, reading “Hacked By Team System DZ,” while the bottoms of the pages declared “I love Islamic State.”

The Ohio webpages affected included: the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections; Casino Control; Ohio Gov. John Kasich and first lady Karen Kasich; the Office of Workforce Transformation; the Office of Health Transformation; the Inspector General, and Medicaid.

“Anti: Govt all word. You will be held accountable Trump, you and all your people for every drop of blood flowing in Muslim countries,” the messages read, according to WKYC.

By 1 p.m., all of the affected sites had been taken offline.

A spokesperson for the Ohio governor’s office said officials “immediately began to correct” the situation as soon as they were notified. They planned to keep monitoring the site “until fully resolved.”

This wasn’t the first time the pro-ISIS group had shown its loyalty to the radical Islamic terrorist organization, as it has been responsible for more cyber attacks in recent months, including websites in France, Israel and other countries, according to USA Today.

The government website for a small county in Virginia was hacked into by the same group in January 2015, at which time the ISIS propaganda group was labeled as “anti-Israeli Arab teenagers.”

However, other people have taken the attacks as something far more serious than teenage pranks.

In a Facebook post about the Sunday attack, Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel decried the offense and pleaded with Americans to recognize what was happening.

“Wake up freedom-loving Americans. Radical Islam infiltrating the heartland,” Mandel wrote.

Mandel is right. The group that attacked these government websites may not have been the Islamic State group itself, but the fact that the radical terrorist organization has other groups willing to do dirty work for them shows that their ideology has infiltrated America.

We haven’t seen the last of this.
