Oprah Winfrey recently was pushed into the whole Harvey Weinstein sexual assault scandal.
Actress Kadian Noble claimed that Weinstein used Oprah Winfrey and Naomi Campbell to trick her into trusting him that he will help with her career.
Anyhow, Noble said that he didn’t further her acting career and only used her for sex.
“I thought, obviously, this man has something amazing in store for me,” Noble stated at a media conference in Manhattan. “I felt completely played.”
According to some reports, Noble and Weinstein met in 2014 at the British Academy Film Awards after-party.
At the after-party Weinstein allegedly introduced Noble to Campbell and Winfrey, saying he is interested in her as an actress.
Noble said she was impressed by him after she saw Oprah “swinging off his arm.”
Weinstein also told Noble he will make a “show reel” of acting competences, leading her to believe that he is trying to help her career.
Noble said that few months later, Weinstein met with her at a hotel lobby in Cannes, France, and recommended to review her acting demo reel in his room and she agreed.
When they entered the room, Noble said things got a little disturbing.
“He was repeating to me, ‘I need to know that you really like me,’” Noble stated. “At this point it became a little bit confusing but still I had a lot of hope.”
Noble claims that Weinstein proceeded with making inappropriate comments before he took her in front of a mirror and started fondling her.
“And I kept saying no, and I just felt so stupid. But at the same time a massive part of me had shut down,” she continued.
Noble admitted that “It makes no sense that I didn’t run out of the room. And all I was able to do was just say no.”
Her comments came after she filed a sex trafficking lawsuit against Weinstein on Monday.
The lawsuit states that Weinstein “recruits, solicits and entices young female actresses.”
“Harvey was a legend,” Noble stated. “He was someone that I thought was going to make my dream a reality.”
Weinstein denied all the accusations that emerged last month, saying he never used his Hollywood status to force himself onto actresses or to force them into any kind of unwanted sexual activities.
“Mr. Weinstein denies allegations of non-consensual sex,” Weinstein’s spokesperson stated. “Mr. Weinstein has further confirmed that there were never any acts of retaliation against any women for refusing his advances.”
Noble allegation only adds to the long list of accusations, a total of 75, against Weinstein.
