If there is one thing we are eagerly looking forward to witnessing, it is California Rep. Maxine Waters’ one-on-one political race with her Republican opponent. The reason why this is so relevant is that Waters spent most of her career pushing the ‘racial’ issue in America.
Now, her nemesis is Omar Navarro, a Latin-American, who will fight for California’s 43rd Congressional District seat, which is due next year. This man also has a strong line of supporters who trust him with his vision for the U.S.
He got the support by a handful of minorities, such as Herman Cain, a 2012 Republican presidential candidate, and Pastor Darrell Scott, co-founder of the National Diversity Coalition for Trump, as Navarro’s campaign website reports.
Waters has been previously opposed by Navarro, or in 2016 to be exact, but Waters sealed the deal by a landslide.
Still, Navarro is certain this could be his lucky year when he will finally triumph over Waters.
“I had faith after Trump won that … we could topple someone like Maxine and win,” the 28-year-old Republican said. “That’s the reality of life. There are always upsets.”
Navarro is convinced he could get things working in his favor if he brings more Latino population is the district. The candidate himself is Cuban and has strong opinions on immigration, which is always a touchy subject among Americans in general.
In addition, Navarro appealed for the responsibility of citizenship, urging to have the refugee issue handled in due time.
“Growing up, my grandpa told me that in Cuba, democracy was not an option,” Navarro’s website said. “Citizenship in the United States requires us to do more than complain about our problems – we have to work together to fix them.”
This opinion of his, is translated from his last political campaign. Although his principles haven’t changed, the campaign budget did. Namely, he managed to gather the sympathies of many sponsors, and raise $115,000 for the 2018 election. In 2016, he barely raised $3,000, as per the LA Times.
As he hopes, this flood of cash will serve him to lead a better campaign and ultimately score the seat before Waters wins it over again.
“When I ran last year, I received 25 percent of the vote, which means I got 11 percent more than the registered Republicans in the region, which means I transcended and got Democrats and Independents to vote for me,” Navarro told Breitbart News.
Now, Navarro’s potential was recognized by a black supporter who said that Waters was never there for her people, according to a press release.
“We have had enough,” the supporter said. “She is not helping the black community… Omar is for all Americans regardless of the color of their skin. Omar is in touch with everybody in the community. He wants what’s best for American citizens, and that’s the way it should be.”
Waters seems to be having much more important things than minding her own campaign, while at the same time, Navarro is on the field, listening to people and taking their notes. If there is something that can win you a campaign, you’re looking at it in Navarro.
As for Waters, she has been clueless from day one. Truthfully, after so many outbursts and episodes, Waters deserves to pack her bags and leave. Someone should really ask Democrats if there was truly no one else to select as a candidate for the position?
Come on, you guys, this is not even funny anymore.
What do you think? Will Navarro crush Waters in the upcoming elections?
