Jeff Fisher was fired by the Rams in the middle of last season.
It really wasn’t very surprising — 2016 was Fisher’s seventh consecutive non-winning campaign, going back to his days with the Tennessee Titans.
In fact, with his 165 losses (versus 173 wins), he’s tied with Dan Reeves for the most in NFL history.
But it’s never easy to get axed.
It’s also not easy to watch someone break the news to his coworkers.
For years, HBO’s “Hard Knocks” has let us inside the coach’s office when he’s cutting a player.
In a trailer for Amazon Prime’s new series “All or Nothing,” we now see a coach telling his staff that he’s been relieved of his duties.
“Unfortunately, I won’t be there this weekend… I was just fired.” – Jeff Fisher

It’s hard to watch, as Fisher is nearly overcome with emotion.
The reaction in the front row from John Fassel (who took over for the season’s final three weeks) really shows that the coaches were shocked by the news.
The Rams certainly underperformed in their first season in Los Angeles, with a 4-12 record in 2016.
LA had been considered an up-and-coming team, especially with top draft pick Jared Goff under center.
Those expectations might not have been fair, but the head coach contributed to the hype when he appeared on “Hard Knocks.”
“I’m not f—ing going 7-9 or 8-8 or 9-7, OK?” Fisher said last August. “Or 10-6 for that matter. This team’s too talented. I’m not going to settle for that. I know what I’m doing.”
Maybe he should have settled for 7-9 after all.
“All or Nothing” debuts Friday on Amazon Prime.
