New Report Reveals How Eric Bollings Son Died

The only child of former Fox News host Eric Bolling died due to an overdose, according to one new report.

Unidentified Fox News sources, told TMZ that Eric Chase Bolling Jr. was “emotionally upset” and embarrassed by the conduct that led to his father’s termination by Fox.

The teenager’s death has been reported as a suicide.

Eric Bolling Sr. was fired by Fox on Friday. In July, Bolling was accused of sexting at least three coworkers, a claim he denied. Fox, reeling from a chain of sexual harassment cases, suspended Bolling as it investigated the claim, before announcing Friday it was parting ways with him.

Bolling claimed he had been slandered “through the intentional and/or highly reckless publication of actionable false and misleading statements about the plaintiff’s conduct and character.’’ He has sued reporter Yashar Ali, who broke the story in a HuffPost article, for $50 million.

Eric Bolling Jr., 19, died Friday in Boulder Colo., where he was attending college.

Many tweeted their condolences.

But others blamed Fox News for its treatment of the teen’s father.

Fox News released a statement on the teen’s death.

“We are very saddened to hear of the passing of Eric Bolling’s son. Eric Chase was a wonderful young man and our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Bolling family,” the statement said.
