First lady Melania Trump got a surprise in the form of a special pink gift when she and the president visited Warsaw, Poland.
The first couple made many appearances, but one in particular may have stood out from all the rest because it appealed the first lady’s sense of style.
Melania and Polish first lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda paid a visit to the Copernicus Science Center, a science museum geared toward young people.
After their visit, two students presented the first ladies with gifts that they had made using a 3-D printing machine, Vanity Fair reported.
Trump received a miniature hot-pink stiletto, which happened to match the the dress she was wearing at the time, a fit-and-flare dress from Delpozo that reportedly sold out shortly after the Warsaw appearance, according to Breitbart.
The shoe is a cute and thoughtful gift.
The first lady’s wardrobe is one to be envied and apparently one to be imitated, despite the flak she received from several designers who said they would not dress her because of her husband’s politics.
They might be regretting those decisions now because what Melania is wearing often makes the news. Regardless of whether designers like the president’s politics, the first lady is a fashion icon.
Stefano Gabbana, of Dolce & Gabbana, rebuffed criticism for dressing the first lady, and proudly posts pictures of her sporting some of his label’s designs. Other designers think it’s an honor to dress Melania, realizing that dressing the first lady is a wonderful opportunity to gain world-wide exposure for their designs.
Trump’s style has apparently made an impression even on young girls in Europe, who felt it would be fitting to give the first lady a stiletto as a gift.
