McGregor Wears Suit Pinstriped With Profanity to Press Conference

UFC fans everywhere are eagerly anticipating a boxing match on August 26 as UFC boxing champion Conor McGregor and undefeated boxing champion Floyd Mayweather face off.

During a press conference about the fight on Tuesday, McGregor certainly lowered the bar of common decency and decorum by wearing a pinstripe suit that had a subtle message in it, GQ reported.

From a distance, McGregor’s suit looked normal enough. However when zoomed in with a camera, it became clear that the stripes on McGregor’s suit were actually the words “f*** you” written in very tiny print.

This custom suit was a David August design, whose CEO, David August Heil, defended the decision to make such a provocative piece of clothing.

“Conor has been a longtime client and friend of ours and we’re deeply honored to be a part of this epic, historic story as it unfolds. With a force in sports and fashion like Conor, it makes our job exciting to create unique looks that enhances his natural confidence and power,” Heil stated.

“He’s a disrupter in everything he does and we’re intoxicated by his passion and drive,” he added.

You can be a disrupter without acting like a child. Apparently it isn’t enough that the two are going to attempt to pummel each other to death in a ring in a few days, McGregor has to take things to an even lower level.

CBS Sports reported that McGregor also got in trouble for some seemingly racist comments when he told Mayweather to “dance for me boy” at some of the press stops the two made.

Business Insider reported that McGregor denied he was being racist with those (and other) comments he made, claiming he was just having “fun.”

“I just wanted to say something and have a little bit of fun with it. I just wanted to play with it and address it in my own little way. It’s stupid, and it’s ridiculous is basically what I was getting at,” McGregor stated.

These two certainly are playing up the feud between them. Of course it is possible that all of this garbage is simply a massive publicity stunt designed to draw attention to the fight and rake in millions of dollars. If so, it’s certainly seems to be working.
