Secretary of Defense James Mattis has quickly become a favorite in the Trump administration as he is known for his fearless attitude and clear difference in military strategy from the previous administration.
But the one thing that many admire about Mattis is his answers to questions from the press. While he doesn’t speak much, when he does, everyone knows what he has to say will be important.
On Friday, Mattis was asked by Carla Babb, a Pentagon correspondent for Voice of America, “What is your biggest military concern for 2018?”
“I don’t have concerns. I create them.”
Just last week, Mattis was asked if he had any challenge coins on him, and he explained he didn’t, saying:
“I’m saving money for bombs.”
He was also asked that week about North Korea’s efforts and whether or not he was impressed by their missile program. His response:
“Nothing impresses me.”
James Mattis, everyone.
