Little Girl’s Lemonade Stand Threatened With Cops … Dad Makes Epic Post

Little Girls Lemonade Stand Threatened With Cops Dad Makes Epic Post

California used to be a state of sun and opportunity, where dreams come true and hard work pays off.

Instead, liberal busybodies have turned it into a place where bright girls are reported to the police for being ambitious.

That’s exactly what just happened in Discover Bay, California, after a little girl had the cops called on her for the shocking crime of… well, running a lemonade stand.

In a surprising turn, however, the young girl’s father turned the incident into an epic social media post, and the girl ended the day with a smile on her face.

According to SFGate, the girl received permission from her parents to sell lemonade for one hour. She went to work, and set up her stand on public property with the hope of earning a few dollars.

She ended up learning a few life lessons.

The controversy started when an unknown man came up to the stand and decided that the world didn’t need any more happy and ambitious children.

“The man just pulled up next to her and asked for her business license and then told her ‘I’m calling the police,’ and then got on the phone and began speaking as if he was talking to police,” Richard LaRoche, the girl’s father, explained in a Facebook post.

“She was so scared that she came home crying and sobbing and said she didn’t want to go to jail,” he continued.

Encouraged by her parents, the girl persevered — and then something amazing happened.

“When she came home crying I told her that some people are just negative and are looking to bring others down,” LaRoche explained to SFGate.

“I told her how much our community supported her when I posted what happened. She was so surprised and encouraged,” he continued.

After being bullied by a passerby and told that the government would shut them down, many kids would give up. This girl didn’t.

“We set up a second lemonade stand on our property … and she was busy the whole three hours,” her father said.

Members of the community arrived at a brisk pace to support the girl’s budding business. She did receive a visit from police officers… but they came to buy lemonade, not arrest her.

“Whoever the man is who threatened to call the police on my daughter for her lemonade stand, you are seriously pathetic,” Richard LaRoche posted on Facebook. “There is a right way to do things and a wrong way to do things. I understand that you were upholding the ‘law’ but really dude?”

A simple thing like a kid with a lemonade stand generally makes for a good story, especially when the stand has a bigger purpose. In this case, the girl just wanted to earn a few dollars through honest labor, that would have been a good enough story by itself, until this jerk showed up with his statist talk of business licenses and calling the cops.

Busybodies love to find any hint of ambition and squash it. They live to rain on others’ parades — but as one California girl found out, perseverance and a positive attitude can still win.
