KJU Promises New Attack Just Days After Sanctions Are Proposed

North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un made another promise to attack just says after the United Nations Security Council proposed new sanctions agains the rogue nation.

“Should the UNSC adopt another ‘resolution on sanctions’, this will trigger corresponding measures by the DPRK and (the North will) respond to the ‘resolution’ with its act of justice,” a foreign ministry spokesman told North Korean Central News Agency, according to Yonhap News Agency.

The North’s recent successful launch of an intercontinental ballitic missile “fully demonstrated the will and capability of the DPRK to annihilate the United States in a single blow to the very heart of its mainland in case it fails to act with discretion,” the report said, using the acronym for the country’s formal name of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

The U.S. is “inviting its ultimate doom by resorting to the sanctions and pressure campaign against the DPRK,” it added.

“It will be a fatal mistake to consider any chance that the DPRK which rose to a dignified nuclear power and an ICBM state would tolerate the reckless ‘sanctions’ racket of the U.S. and other hostile forces,” the report said.

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley told CBS News on Sunday that the United States planned to push for diplomatic action.

“We’re going to go ahead and push for a strong resolution against North Korea,” she said, adding that the U.S. would also “push hard” against China if does not do more when it comes to handling the North.

North Korea can make all the threats to attack that it pleases, but it doesn’t look like the U.S. is planning to back down as a result any time soon. Nor should it.

President Donald Trump has said Kim’s behavior deserve a “determined response,” adding that patience with the regime is running out.

It’s hard to argue with that.

With the North’s repeated missile tests and promises of “corresponding measures,” something needs to be done, and the sooner the better.
