Laura Ingraham — who’s current on an extended “Easter break,” — has had a roller-coaster past few weeks. It all started when she was one of the few with the backbone to call out David Hogg, but then days later, under the threat of lost advertisers, issued an apology to him.
Her supporters don’t seem to really know where to stand at this point. Is she a sellout? Or was she unfairly targeted? Either way, Fox News just announced where they stand, and it may be the final word…
On Monday, Fox News released a statement on the future of Laura Ingraham after she faced an intense boycott push from far-left activists and Media Matters. The network announced that they are sticking by Ingraham and will not back down to leftist intimidation efforts designed to silence free speech.
In a statement, Fox News co-president Jack Abernethy wrote:
We cannot and will not allow voices to be censored by agenda-driven intimidation efforts. We look forward to having Laura Ingraham back hosting her program next Monday when she returns from spring vacation with her children.
Ingraham, the host of “The Ingraham Angle,” announced on Friday that she was going to be taking the week off to celebrate Easter with her three adopted children as she faced an intense boycott campaign originating from student gun control activist David Hogg after she tweeted a mild criticism of him last week.
In response to Ingraham’s announcement, Hogg, a self-described atheist, taunted Ingraham on Twitter, writing: “Have some healthy reflections this Holy Week.”

On Saturday, Hogg appeared on CNN where he called Ingraham a bully and said that the only way he would ever appear on her show again is if she apologized to every person she had every hurt “throughout her professional career because of her immaturity and unprofessionalism.”
CNN’s Ana Cabrera turned the tables on Hogg, informing him that some people think he, in fact, is a bully, to which he responded, “I don’t agree with it.”
