Hillary Clinton is on a tour to promote her book “What Happened,” but she and her husband may be giving one another the cold shoulder while she’s away, according to an insider source.
Edward Klein, author of several books on the Clintons and Kennedys, is preparing for the release of his noew book “All Out War: The Plot to Destroy Trump,” which is scheduled to be released on Oct. 30.
Klein now claims that Hillary Clinton’s book, “What Happened,” has driven a wedge between her and her husband. Klein says the couple argued over the book’s publishing.
When trying to decide if a manuscript was ready to publish or not, Bill Clinton made several notes, which he urged Hillary to look at, but Hillary thought it was ready for publishing, and didn’t bother considering her husband’s opinion.
Klein claims that, in a fit of rage, Bill threw his red penned copy of “What Happened” in the trash after Hillary refused to push the publishing date back.
Page Six reports:
Edward Klein, who has written several books about the Clintons and Kennedys, has a hotly anticipated book, “All Out War: The Plot to Destroy Trump,” out Oct. 30.
In the meantime, he reveals that Hillary Clinton’s finger-pointing book, “What Happened” — which is chock-full of excuses for her shocking election loss to Donald Trump — may be a best seller, but Bill Clinton tossed his copy in the trash can and is heartsick over his wife’s current blame-game book tour.
“Before Hillary sent the manuscript to her publisher, she gave it to Bill to read, and he made major changes with a red pencil,” said a close Clinton family friend. “But she refused to even read his corrections, and he got so furious that he tossed the entire manuscript into the garbage.
“He told her the book made her look bewildered, angry and confused, and that those were poor qualities in a person who aspired to be a world leader,” the friend continued.
“He hated the title because calling it ‘What Happened’ would only make people say, ‘You lost.’ He urged her to postpone the pub date and rewrite the book, but she yelled at him and said, ‘The book is finished and that’s how it’s going to be published.’ ”
According to Klein, Bill Clinton thinks the book is focused too much on blame. In the book, Hillary blames Russian adverting conspiracies, former FBI Director James Comey, women who didn’t vote for her, and teenage Bernie Sanders supporters (“Bernie Bros”) who said mean things about her in online forums.
Klein writes in his upcoming book that Bill and Hillary Clinton had a fight before the election. Bill told Hillary that she was going to lose if she didn’t focus more on campaigning in rust belt states.
Page Six continues:
“She told him he was delusional,” Klein writes.
“Bill’s criticism — and what Hillary sees as his lack of sympathy — has driven a wedge between them,” the friend said. “They haven’t been speaking for months. They’ve been communicating through friends and lawyers.”
“Ed is a sad man,” a spokesman for Hillary said. “And a pathetic liar,” added Bill’s rep.
Any public relations representative who works for Bill Clinton may very well know a lot about “pathetic liars.” But if Klein’s allegations are true, it wouldn’t be so surprising.
Maybe Bill did see that Hillary would lose the election, even though she was so sure she’d win that she didn’t even bother writing a concession speech.
Do Klein’s assertions sound feasible?
