Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton doesn’t believe first lady Melania Trump is doing enough to combat cyberbullying, suggesting she is isn’t serious about the issue.

During a interview Tuesday with Mic, Clinton was asked whether she believes Trump is doing enough to alleviate the problem.

“No, no and, look, I don’t think anybody is doing enough on cyberbullying, because it’s real and it has a particularly damaging effect on young people, who are so influenced by and personally affected by what is said about them or is said to them,” Clinton said.

Clinton added she doesn’t believe Trump is sufficiently committed to the issue.

“I think there would be a lot of people who would be willing to help her, if she were serious about actually following through,” Clinton said.

According to Clinton, cyberbullying was something she would have dealt with if elected president.

“I really worry about it as a major issue,” she said. “you know, as something that I talked about in the campaign and I wanted to do more,” Clinton said.

Clinton’s remarks were in response to previous statements made by Melania Trump in which she said she planned to launch initiatives against online bullying.

Clinton said bullying is a major issue across all social media platforms, explaining that people shouldn’t speak to one another with vile rhetoric.

“Because we’ve got to try the best we can to make the internet — particularly social media — understand the impact that it can have particularly on vulnerable people, particularly on susceptible young people,” Clinton said.

She continued, saying, “And we need more voices that are not just firing nasty shots back, but saying, time out, no. ‘This is not the way you talk about anybody, this is not how you conduct yourself.’”

Clinton reiterated that if Trump was serious about fighting the issue, she should reach out to others for help.

“I think it’s a really important issue, and if she were serious and able to follow through on it,” Clinton said. “I bet there’d be so many people who’d be willing to try to help her on that.”
