Following Monday’s tragic suicide bombing outside an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, U.K., a CNN terrorism analyst suggested that the bombing was actually carried out by right-wing extremists, according to The Daily Caller.
Once CNN was able to temporarily pull itself away from its constant anti-Trump drumbeat to actually cover the breaking news regarding yet another Islamist terrorist attack, terrorism analyst Paul Cruickshank suggested that while an Islamist bomber was most likely responsible for the carnage and death, a right-wing “false flag” operation couldn’t be ruled out.
“It must also be noted that in recent months in Europe, there’s been a number of false flag plots where right wing have been trying to blame Islamists for terrorism,” Cruickshank claimed, according to Mediaite. “We have seen that in Germany in recent weeks.”
A “false flag” operation is one conducted covertly by one group with the express purpose of blaming it on a different group. The term originated from a naval warfare tactic in which ships would sometimes fly flags of nations different from their own in order to closely approach and launch sneak attacks on an enemy without being noticed. Twitchy jokingly noted that the CNN analyst seemed to be giving the right-leaning uber-conspiratorial outlet InfoWars a run for its money, as numerous social media users added in their own commentary on the shocking suggestion.
A reporter for the Washington Free Beacon couldn’t believe what he was seeing on social media and sought to debunk such an absurd suggestion, but regretted to discover that it had indeed occurred.
I looked this up with the full intent of debunking an Internet rumor, but yes, a CNN analyst actually suggested this https://t.co/h0onRMZ3c0

One person suggested that CNN was simply irked that they had to pull away from their Trump/Russia blanket coverage to deal with actual news.
@HashtagGriswold Probably just mad a little bit of mass murder made it so they can’t continue with their round the clock mindless Trump coverage

While this is pretty crazy, it isn’t really that surprising, as far too many in the liberal media go out of their way not only to seek out a path to avoid placing any sort of blame on Islam, but also to find a way to blame the right wing or Republicans for any tragedy.
Next thing you know we will be hearing that President Donald Trump himself authorized the attack in order to buttress his assertions regarding Islamist terror and seek revenge on the anti-Trump singer.
Just wait … you’ll see that meme soon enough.
