For the past few years, the United States has had to deal with a number of anti-police protests, a great number of which have turned violent that are either organized by or a result of the Black Lives Matter movement.
These sorts of riots aren’t unique to the United States. On Sunday, England had to deal with a number of riots and violent protests in Forest Hill, a district of London, that appear to have been affiliated with the Black Lives Matter Movement, Breitbart reported.
Videos posted on social media from the protests show people carrying signs that read “Black Lives Matter,” and other anti-police signs that have become all too common recently.
A Twitter account labeled as “Black Lives Matter UK,” posted an update saying “join us if you’re in Stratford,” along with video from the scene. (Caution: Strong language from the marchers.)

We should note that the Black Lives Matter UK Twitter account is not a verified account, and does not appear to be officially linked to the official Black Lives Matter movement in the United States. But their “f**** the police” rhetoric in the video above would sure sound familiar to anyone who followed the movement’s doings in the United States.
The BBC reported that these violent protests were in response to the death of 25-year-old Edir Frederico Da Costa. Those behind the protests claim that Da Costa was beaten by police after a traffic stop, which led to his death six days later.
An investigation into Da Costa’s death is continuing, but so far there is no indication that he was actually beaten by police, the BBC reported.
London’s Metropolitan Police released a statement noting that six officers were injured in the rioting — four of whom had to go the hospital because of their injuries.

“The protest returned to the police station, where a number of objects were thrown towards officers,” read the statement. “A small number of fires — involving the contents of litter bins — were also set in the street. These were quickly dealt with by the London Fire Brigade.”
It is impossible to say for certain whether the Black Lives Matter movement officially supported these riots or not. The organization is very loosely organized, and anyone can write out “Black Lives Matter,” without it being directly related to the official organization.

However, what is clear is that there are people all over this world who will lash out at the police, violently, if they think they can get away with it, regardless of what the facts of the case they are protesting actually are.
